What is telehealth? Telehealth is the delivery of health-related services through technology, usually by telephone or live video conferencing.

How can I be sure that our meetings are private and secure? We are required by law to use a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure patient’s privacy and security. The platform we use is called WeCounsel, and using it is just as secure as coming into the office for a one-on-one.

What is the difference between your telehealth and telepsychiatry services? The main difference is that Dr. Dave can only provide telepsychiatry, including prescription medication management and psychiatric assessment and evaluations, in the states he is licensed to practice medicine, which are Virginia and Florida. With telehealth consultations he can consult globally, and you receive his expertise in alternative medicine practices, including lab testing, nutritional counseling, lifestyle modifications and supplement and nutraceutical protocols, but he cannot prescribe pharmaceutical medications or give a diagnosis.

If you are a patient in one of these states and need telepsychiatry services, he will incorporate both functional medicine practices (such as lifestyle modifications and supplement and nutraceutical protocols) and traditional psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis and prescribing medication or medication management if needed.
