Pure Encapsulations Selenium (citrate) 200 mcg 60 vcaps is a natural antioxidant which delays the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids and preserves the elasticity of tissue. Selenium is required for the production of certain prostaglandins which decrease platelet aggregation. In synergy with vitamin E, selenium promotes normal growth and fertility, and improves the function of certain energy producing cells. Both selenium and vitamin E independently stimulate the formation of anti-bodies, proteins that act as the body's defense system.
